Serial: pre dates serial numbers, speculated 1950-1970 age range. Features a Prentice zipper which were manufactured between 1920-1950 so I would speculate this piece is from the 1950s.

A truly stunning vintage condition Gucci box calf leather purse. The item is structurally sound with no lose threads, rips or tears. Box leather is delicate and there are scratches on this piece which is unavoidable with something of this age and with box leather. The hardware is pristine with hairline scratches on the strap hinges, the push lock closure on the bag front is in excellent condition with no scratches present, resin is in tact as well. Interior of bag is clean with no stains/rips or tears along with the single pocket. Zippers are fully functioning and solid.

Details: This is such a special piece and would do well with a true vintage lover. Vintage Gucci bags from this era feature timeless shapes and will stand the test of time structurally speaking. Gucci is often left out of the 24k gold plated hardware discussion but the pieces from this era are also gold plated. If we had to pick one navy blue leather bag for our personal forever collection, it would be a Gucci. This piece is likely around 65-75 years old and still functions with no issue which is a nod to impeccable craftsmanship from the house.
